The EC360 excavator engine D12D is an electronically controlled, in-line 6-cylinder diesel engine. It has a maximum output of 465 hp (347 kW) and a displacement of 12.1 l. It features Volvo's Advanced Combustion Technology (ACT), which includes a variable geometry turbocharger, cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR), and a diesel particle filter. This technology allows the engine to operate at Tier 3 and Tier 4 standards without the need for AdBlue technology.
